Hazard:
The battery compartment design of the NICREW submersible light remote control does not comply with the button cell battery safety requirements of 16 CFR § 1263. Under extreme impact conditions, the battery compartment may unintentionally open, allowing children access to the coin cell battery and posing an ingestion hazard.
Remedy:
Replace the remote control.

If your order was placed between May 2024 and August 2024, you are eligible for a free replacement remote. NICREW sold this submersible aquarium light (N21743) exclusively at Amazon. Nicrew and Amazon are reaching out to all customers to begin a recall program. NICREW reported this issue to CPSC and released a joint recall notice.
